We are currently experiencing unprecedented times in public education. Our first priority is the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families. We ask you to continue to practice social distancing and routinely wash your hands. Effective Monday, March 23, all schools and offices in the district will be closed to the public. All district events, including athletic events, meetings, adult education classes, and any other school activities are canceled through March 31.
The school district will continue to offer free meal service at various sites around the district. Meal pick up is available at Mid-Carolina High School, Newberry High School, Newberry Middle School, Pomaria-Garmany Elementary School, and Reuben Elementary School. To lessen the burden of daily trips, meal pickups will now be on Mondays and Thursdays at the schools between 10 am – 12 pm. We are also adding meal delivery sites. Our school buses will deliver to the following locations on Monday and Thursday between the hours of 11 am – 12 pm – Bethlehem Apartments, Grant Apartments, Hartford Community Center, Helena Community Center, Little Mountain Reunion Park, Newberry Fairgrounds, Oakland Community Center, Old Gallman Elementary Park, Prosperity Park, White’s Trailer Park, and the Whitmire Community Center.
