Advanced Art students visited the Columbia Museum of Art on Wednesday, April 17 to view the “Interior Lives” and “Darrell Ellis” exhibits. Art is always a reflection of society, but students were able to observe and analyze the evolution of American Art from the 1890's to 1945 firsthand through these exhibits. Students also engaged in discussion about Art as an expression of personal, familial, and cultural identity. The tour was followed by an opportunity to create their own artwork inspired by the exhibits.
