The Mid-Carolina Academic Challenge team took home the State Championship (Division 2) on Friday, March 22nd. They won Regionals in December and continued practicing weekly and holding study sessions in preparation for the State Championship. The day started out in the semi-finals with competition against Camden High School. Mid-Carolina won handily with a score of 52-11. They then competed in the afternoon against J. Paul Truluck Magnet School for the State Championship. In a nail-biting match, Mid-Carolina won with a score of 35-34. This was an amazing accomplishment after a full year of practices and study sessions. Great job, team!
