FAVORITE TEACHER: My favorite teacher, would be my mother, Martha Moore, who was a SPED teacher at Speers Street Elementary School. She was my role model and my inspiration to become a teacher. The power of her passion for teaching taught me valuable characteristics that led me to become the person I am today. If you had the privilege to meet her, she shined through her commitment, loyalty and selfless abilities for her students, parents, co-workers and her community. She provided me guidance to problem-solve and the ability reach out and make relationships with everyone who enters my life. My mother was a true example when teaching me how to live life and make the best choices I can, even in questionable situations. She believed that motivation inspires us to achieve greatness, and recognize the best in ourselves.
ADVICE FOR STUDENTS: My advice to my students would be, "Be proud of the person you see in the mirror". Throughout the school year, I remind my students to value themselves and be the person that everyone looks up to that they may come across whether it be for a day or someone they have know their whole lives. To be that person you must show respect and value other opinions in any given situation that you may encounter.
