As part of Prom Promise week, today’s activity was impaired/distracted driving simulations offered through the Drive to Zero program with the SC State Transport Police. Students in 11th and 12th grades were given the opportunity to drive a go-kart equipped with Driver Distraction/Impairment Simulation Technology. During their driving experience, students were able to experience the effects of operating a motor vehicle while impaired or distracted and they quickly learned how judgement and safety is jeopardized in these situations.
