Sarah Wicker (Counselor for students whose last names are A-F) 

Ms. Wicker is an alumna of Mid-Carolina High School and graduated in 2011.She then attended Clemson University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English in 2014 and received her M. Ed. In Counseling and Development from Winthrop University in 2016. Ms. Wicker previously worked at Laurens District 55 High School, Ford Elementary School, and Batesburg-Leesville High School. She currently lives in Prosperity and in her free time she enjoys reading, napping, and spending time with her family. Ms. Wicker cannot wait to work closely with students, parents, and other staff members to support MCHS in the best way possible! 

Gwen McAllister, Lead Counselor, (Counselor for students whose last names are G-M) 

Ms. McAllister graduated from Clemson University in 1995 with a BA in Political Science and Psychology. She obtained her Teacher’s Certification at Clemson University in 1998. In 2001, she went on to obtain her Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling Services from Clemson University. Ms. McAllister has worked as an elementary and secondary level guidance counselor at Park Hills Elementary School and Mary H. Wright Elementary School in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She continued her education at Converse College in Spartanburg, SC in which she earned two Educational Specialist Degrees in Administration (2011 Administration and Supervision; 2014 Administration and Leadership). Ms. McAllister enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is honored to serve the students and families of MCHS. She looks forward to working with students and families to support academics and serve as a resource to support them as they take on their future endeavors after high school.
